Ingredients

  • 1 (20 to 25 lb.) Butterball butter basted turkey
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven according to your turkey size and oven bag instructions.
  2. Place the large Reynolds oven cooking bag inside a roasting pan.
  3. Remove the turkey from its packaging and pat dry with paper towels.
  4. Season the turkey generously with salt and pepper inside and out.
  5. Place the turkey inside the oven bag, sealing it according to package instructions.
  6. Cut a few small slits in the top of the bag to allow steam to escape.
  7. Cook the turkey in the preheated oven for the recommended time based on weight (roughly 13-15 minutes per pound).
  8. Once cooked, carefully remove the turkey from the oven, cut open the bag, and let rest for 20 minutes before carving.
