Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 tsp cherry juice
  • 2/3 cup cooking oil
  • 2/3 cup apricot nectar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp red food coloring
  • 4 or 5 chopped cherries

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Mix the yellow cake mix, cherry juice, cooking oil, apricot nectar, eggs, and red food coloring in the order given until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into a tube pan.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Garnish with chopped cherries before serving if desired.
