Manhattan Beef Roll

Ingredients

  • 2 c. dry biscuit mix
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk
  • 1 lb. ground beef, cooked and cooled
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/3 c. beef gravy (cold)
  • 3/4 c. mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Blend biscuit mix and buttermilk with mixer on low speed.
  2. Do not overmix.
  3. Roll on floured surface into a rectangular shape approximately 1/4-inch thick.
  4. Combine remaining ingredients together.
  5. Spread evenly over dough mixture.
  6. Roll up like a jelly roll.
  7. Slice into 1-inch pieces.
  8. Place onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until brown.
  9. Serve with gravy. Makes 7 servings.
