Ingredients

  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 pint whipping cream
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Bring the maple syrup to a boil in a small saucepan.
  2. Dissolve the gelatin in water.
  3. Add the dissolved gelatin to the boiling syrup and mix well.
  4. Beat the egg yolks well and add them to the syrup mixture.
  5. Set the mixture aside to cool, stirring occasionally.
  6. When the mixture starts to set, fold in the whipped cream and chopped walnuts.
