Mapley Carrots

Ingredients

  • 2 doz. carrots, cut
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 Tbsp. maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Instructions

  1. In heavy saucepan, combine carrots, water and salt.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook, covered, over medium heat, until tender.
  3. Drain. Add remaining ingredients.
  4. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve with sauce spooned over.
  6. Makes 2 cups.
