Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • 1 teaspoon dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients well.
  2. Shape the dough into 6 balls.
  3. Roll out each ball to 1/8 inch thickness.
  4. Cut each rolled-out dough into wedges.
  5. Fry the wedges quickly in hot grease until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels before serving.
