Ingredients

  • 2 lb. cans unsweetened pineapple chunks
  • 4 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 to 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 18 cloves

Instructions

  1. Drain pineapple and reserve the liquid.
  2. In a large saucepan, simmer 1 cup of pineapple juice, white vinegar, sugar, cinnamon sticks, and cloves over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  3. Add drained pineapple chunks to the saucepan and continue heating for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for 3 to 4 days to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Serve in a clear glass bowl with frilly toothpicks.
