Ingredients

  • 32 oz. jar dill sliced pickles
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons pickling spice

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the drained pickle slices, sugar, vinegar, and pickling spice.
  2. Marinate at room temperature for 24 to 30 hours, mixing occasionally during this time.
  3. After marinating, transfer the pickles to jars of your choice.
  4. Remove and discard the pickling spice if contained in cheesecloth.
  5. Refrigerate the jars of pickles.
  6. Enjoy within a few weeks for the best flavor.
