Ingredients

  • 2 envelopes Knox gelatine
  • 2/3 cup cold water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/3 cups white corn syrup

Instructions

  1. Soften gelatine in water over a double boiler.
  2. Place over boiling water and stir gelatine until dissolved.
  3. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
  4. Put corn syrup in a large mixing bowl.
  5. Pour hot gelatine mixture over the corn syrup and beat until thick, about 15 minutes.
  6. Stir in 2 teaspoons vanilla.
  7. Store in 1-quart wide-mouth jars in the refrigerator.
  8. Spoon out as needed.
