Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. marshmallows
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. Place marshmallows and milk in a saucepan; cook over low heat, folding until marshmallows are half their original size.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add vanilla and fold until smooth and light.
  4. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  5. Add salt and sugar slowly, beating constantly.
  6. Carefully fold in the slightly warm marshmallow mixture.
  7. Pile on pie.
  8. Place under broiler 3 inches from heat for 30 seconds.
