Ingredients

  • 2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp. vinegar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp. water
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Shape into small balls.
  2. Fry in hot oil until brown.
  3. Remove from pan and pour off excess fat.
  4. Add garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar and salt.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Add meatballs and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Thicken with cornstarch, mixed with water.
  8. Cook until liquid thickens and gets clear.
  9. Makes about 100 meat balls.
