Ingredients

  • 1 round/oval loaf French bread
  • 1/3 cup olive oil or melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
  • 1 to 1 1/2 pounds Brie cheese

Instructions

  1. With a serrated knife, cut a hollow into the bread 1/2 inch away from the sides and bottom; remove the removed bread from the loaf.
  2. Cut the removed bread into strips, 1 to 1 1/2 inches wide.
  3. Mix olive oil and minced garlic.
  4. Brush the inside of the bread shell and the bread slices with the garlic oil mixture.
  5. Place the Brie cheese inside the bread shell.
  6. Arrange the filled bread shell and slices in a single layer on a 10 x 15-inch pan.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes at 350°F. Remove the bread slices.
  8. Bake the filled bread shell for an additional 10 minutes and serve with grapes.
