Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups elbow spaghetti, uncooked
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • a speck of red pepper
  • No. 303 can kidney beans

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
  2. Saute chopped onion in butter or margarine until soft.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
  4. Combine the meat mixture with cooked spaghetti, seasonings, kidney beans, and tomato puree.
  5. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve hot in bowls.
