Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 1/2 cloves crushed garlic
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 3/4 c. green peppers, chopped
  • 3/4 c. slivered almonds, chopped
  • 3/4 c. green raisins
  • 1/4 c. jalapenos, chopped
  • 3/4 c. pimentos, chopped
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. Cover the ground beef in water in a deep pot and boil for 30 minutes without draining.
  2. Add all remaining ingredients and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  3. Serve in a chafing dish, using chips for dipping or as a side dish.
  4. Better if made a day or two in advance to develop flavors.
