Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients (sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, salt) in a quart-sized Pyrex.
  2. Stir in water; cook for 1 1/2 minutes.
  3. Stir and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Blend in butter and cook for 30 seconds longer.
  5. Add vanilla.
  6. If the sauce is too thin, cook about 10 seconds longer.
