Ingredients

  • 1 qt. apple cider
  • 1/2 tsp. whole cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. whole allspice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • dash of salt
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a 2-quart microproof casserole.
  2. Cook for 15 minutes on medium power, or until very hot.
  3. Remove spices before serving.
  4. Serve hot, garnished with red apple slices if desired.
