Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon margarine or butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice and water according to package directions.
  2. Pour milk into a heavy pan and add the cooked rice and salt.
  3. Cook on low heat until thick and creamy, about 30 minutes or longer, stirring often.
  4. Add the sugar and margarine or butter.
  5. Mix and when all is warm, turn off the heat and add the vanilla and a shake of cinnamon.
  6. Serve warm.
