Ingredients

  • 1 lb. cream cheese
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/2 lb. oleo (butter or margarine)
  • 2 loaves of fresh white bread
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Cinnamon and sugar mixture

Instructions

  1. Mix the cream cheese, sugar, and egg yolks together until smooth.
  2. Cut the crusts from the bread loaves and roll the slices thin.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over each bread slice.
  4. Roll up each bread slice with the filling inside.
  5. Dip each roll in melted oleo (butter), then roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture.
  6. Place the coated rolls on a baking sheet and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10 to 15 minutes until golden.
  7. Remove from oven and cut each roll in half.
  8. Serve plain or with sour cream. Can be frozen for later use.
