Mini Ritz Crackers Snack

Ingredients

  • 2 boxes plain mini Ritz crackers
  • 1 large jar dry roasted peanuts
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • pecans may be added

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°.
  2. Combine crackers and nuts.
  3. Grease large pan.
  4. Cook oleo, sugar and corn syrup for about 5 minutes (slow boil).
  5. Remove from heat; add vanilla and soda.
  6. Stir.
  7. Pour mixture over crackers and nuts.
  8. Spread in greased pan.
  9. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  10. Pour out on wax paper and break apart.
  11. Cool before storing.
