Ingredients

  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 c. Miracle Whip
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Dissolve 2 teaspoons baking soda in 1 cup of warm water.
  2. Combine 1 cup Miracle Whip dressing and 1 cup sugar, beating well.
  3. Add the water and baking soda mixture to the Miracle Whip and sugar mixture.
  4. Sift together into the mixture, 2 cups of flour, 4 tablespoons of cocoa, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  5. Beat until smooth and well combined.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and mix.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased 10 x 13 inch cake pan.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
