Ingredients

  • 5 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Make a paste with flour and milk and cook until thick.
  2. Cool the mixture.
  3. Beat butter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add vanilla to the creamed mixture.
  5. Combine the cooled paste mixture with the creamed mixture and beat until smooth.
  6. If chocolate icing is preferred, use 1 square of melted chocolate and mix it in.
