Ingredients

  • 2 cups canned fruit
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Place canned fruit, 1/2 cup sugar, and water in a pan; bring to a boil.
  2. Mix together salt, 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, and milk to make the batter.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased pan.
  4. Pour the fruit mixture on top of the batter in the pan.
  5. Do not mix together.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes at 350°F.
