Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 10 egg whites, beaten (save yolks for filling)

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar; sift flour with baking powder.
  2. Add flour to butter and sugar alternately with milk.
  3. After all flour and milk has been added, fold in beaten egg whites.
  4. Grease and flour cake pans.
  5. Bake in thin layers in 350° oven.
