Ingredients

  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/4 c. Crisco
  • 2/3 c. milk

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and Crisco using a pastry mixer until the Crisco is completely blended.
  2. Add the milk and stir with a spoon until the dough comes together.
  3. Roll out the dough onto a floured surface to about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thickness.
  4. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits until all dough is used.
  5. Bake at 450°F (232°C) for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
