Monroe Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. wine vinegar
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 can asparagus

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, water, vinegar, cloves, cinnamon stick, celery seed and salt.
  2. Bring to boil.
  3. Cool.
  4. Pour over canned asparagus and cover.
  5. Chill 12 hours or more.
