Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. margarine or shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour, sifted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • whole almonds (to put in center of each mooncake)

Instructions

  1. Beat sugar and margarine until it is very smooth.
  2. Add the egg and beat just a little.
  3. Add flour and flavoring.
  4. Knead or pull and mash the dough with your hands until it is smooth.
