Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
  • 2 onions, peeled and sliced
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 cup water
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon until crisp; remove and crumble.
  2. Fry potatoes and onions in the bacon drippings until lightly browned.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste, then stir in the crumbled bacon.
  4. Pour in water to almost cover the potatoes.
  5. Simmer for 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
  6. Cook until the water evaporates; then turn the potatoes over to brown and crisp.
