Ingredients

  • 1 quart apple cider
  • 1 quart cranberry juice
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 8 allspice berries

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.
  2. Heat just to boiling.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Ladle into mugs to serve hot, or let cool to room temperature and serve over ice.
  5. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a slice of apple, if desired.
