Multipurpose easy rub
Ingredients
- 4 tbsp dried tomato flakes (if you have them) ⓘ
- 4 tbsp ground black pepper ⓘ
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1/3 cup sweet paprika ⓘ
- 1/2 tbsp celery seed (not salt) ⓘ
- 1 tsp cumin ⓘ
- 1 tbsp chilli powder (I use smoked chipolte of regular)
- 1 tbsp dried orange peel or zest ⓘ
- 2/3 cup fine ground coffee dark roast (turkish grind) ⓘ
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 3 pinch smoked sea salt ⓘ
Instructions
- mix well in a bowl and and bake in the oven @ 150 for an hour and a half.
- this will dry out the brown sugar and keep it from getting hard when you want to use it if you are going to use it right away don't bake it.
- Also I use my kitchen aid coffee grinder to make it all fine and uniform.
- This makes putting it in a shaker easier to use.
- remove from oven and let cool
- place in a container for storage
