Ingredients

  • 10 cups water
  • 6 cups sugar
  • 20 to 25 heaping teaspoons instant Maxwell House coffee
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 1/2 gallon vodka

Instructions

  1. In a large kettle, combine water, sugar, coffee, and vanilla bean.
  2. Heat to a boil, then let cool.
  3. Add vodka to the cooled mixture.
  4. Bottle the liqueur and store in a cool, dark place.
  5. Allow it to age; the longer it sets, the better it tastes.
