Ingredients

  • 12 large eggs
  • 1 c. vegetable oil
  • 4 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 5 to 6 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 tsp. lemon extract
  • 2 oz. Anisette
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together the night before.
  2. Leave the batter in the refrigerator overnight.
  3. Bring the batter to room temperature before making.
  4. Preheat the pizzelle iron.
  5. Lightly oil the pizzelle iron with a small amount of vegetable oil.
  6. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls onto the iron.
  7. Hold the iron closed for 30 to 35 seconds until the pizzelle are golden brown.
