Ingredients

  • 1 large cup peaches
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup self rising flour
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Melt 1 stick of butter in a deep casserole dish in the oven.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, self-rising flour, and milk to make a batter.
  4. Pour the batter into the hot melted butter in the casserole dish.
  5. Spoon the peaches evenly over the batter.
  6. Pour the peach juice gently over the peaches.
  7. Bake for about 1 hour or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Optionally, sprinkle cinnamon, sugar, or both over the cobbler before baking.
