Ingredients

  • 8 Granny Smith apples
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup pecans

Instructions

  1. Slice the Granny Smith apples and layer them in the bottom of a 9 x 9-inch pan.
  2. Pour in 1 cup of water over the apples.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the yellow cake mix, softened butter, cinnamon, and pecans until small chunks form.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly over the apples in the pan.
  5. Bake uncovered in a preheated oven at 350°F for 35 minutes or until lightly browned.
