Ingredients

  • 4 c. flour
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. milk
  • 4 eggs, beaten

Instructions

  1. Stir flour, salt and baking powder.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Cream butter and sugar in mixing bowl. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add flour, one cup at a time, to mixture alternating with milk.
  4. Beat batter until smooth and creamy. Add flavoring.
  5. Bake in three 9-inch pans 35 to 45 minutes in a 350° oven.
