Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 packages rapid yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons Crisco
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 5 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Mix warm water and rapid yeast, then add eggs, melted butter, Crisco, sugar, and flour to form a dough.
  2. Knead the dough until smooth, then let it rise for approximately 2.5 hours until doubled in size.
  3. Punch down the dough, shape into rolls, and place on a baking sheet.
  4. Let the rolls rise again until nearly doubled, about 45 minutes.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes until golden brown.
