- Boil and drain the peeled potatoes.
- Whip the hot potatoes, adding softened cream cheese and sour cream.
- Whip until fluffy and smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Place the mixture into a buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Dot generously with butter and sprinkle with seasoned salt.
- Cover with foil and refrigerate. The potatoes can be frozen at this stage and thawed before baking.
- Bake, covered with foil, for 15 minutes at 325°F (163°C).
- Uncover and continue baking for an additional 20 minutes.
