Ingredients

  • 1 gal. water
  • 1 c. salt
  • 1 c. white vinegar
  • cabbage

Instructions

  1. Put chopped cabbage in clean sterilized jars.
  2. Combine water, salt, and white vinegar and stir until the salt and sugar dissolve.
  3. Pour the brine slowly into the jars over the cabbage, ensuring the cabbage is fully submerged.
  4. Seal the lids on the jars.
  5. Let it ferment for 4 weeks before eating.
