Ingredients

  • 1 c. plain cornmeal
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Mix all
  2. ingredients
  3. and
  4. bake in a 400° oven about 15 minutes until
  5. brown
  6. and
  7. firm.
  8. Slice and serve with butter. This bread is good cooked in iron skillet.
