Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup Bisquick
  • 1 carton frozen okra
  • salt
  • milk

Instructions

  1. Place egg, Bisquick, and salt into a bowl and add enough milk to make a thick batter.
  2. Add frozen okra to the batter and stir well.
  3. Adjust the batter's thickness by adding more Bisquick if necessary, so it is thick enough to drop by tablespoon.
  4. Heat medium grease in a pan or deep fryer.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot grease and cook until one side is nicely browned.
  6. Turn the okra balls and cook the other side until golden brown.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
