Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 8 chicken thighs, skinned
  • 10 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped
  • 1 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 c. white vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Brown chicken in moderately hot oil.
  2. Add garlic and pepper; cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Drain off excess fat.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the vinegar, soy sauce, honey and ginger; add to the chicken.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes or until chicken is fork-tender and fully cooked.
