Ingredients

  • medium size cucumbers
  • vinegar
  • fine salt
  • pulverized table mustard

Instructions

  1. Prepare a pickling mixture by adding to each cup of vinegar you desire to use, 1 tablespoon of fine salt and 1 tablespoon of pulverized table mustard.
  2. Pour this mixture into a glass fruit jar or jars, or a stone crock.
  3. Select medium-sized cucumbers; wash and dry them thoroughly, ensuring they are absolutely dry when dropped into the mixture.
  4. Put in a sufficient quantity of cucumbers to be well covered with the pickling mixture and cover the jar tightly.
  5. They are ready for use the following day.
  6. Replenish cucumbers as pickles are used to maintain a continuous supply throughout the summer.
