One Hour Rolls are light, fluffy, and incredibly easy to make, perfect for any meal. With a delightful balance of sweetness from the sugar and richness from the oil, these rolls are a crowd-pleaser, suitable for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. Crisco oil
  • 2 c. plain flour

Instructions

  1. Put flour into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Combine sugar, milk, salt, and oil in a saucepan and heat to boiling; remove from heat and let cool to lukewarm.
  3. Add yeast and mix well.
  4. Pour into flour and stir.
  5. Batter will be sticky.
  6. Roll out batter on a floured board and cut with a biscuit cutter.
  7. Lightly brush tops with melted oleo and fold over.
  8. Place rolls on a cookie sheet, put in a warm place and let rise for 1 hour.
  9. Bake at 350° for about 20 minutes.
