Ingredients

  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup fresh, frozen or canned lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups orange juice
  • 2 cups ginger ale
  • 2 cups orange sections
  • 2/3 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle gelatin over lemon juice in a glass measuring cup to soften.
  2. Stir over hot water until dissolved.
  3. Stir into sugar, salt, orange juice, and ginger ale.
  4. Refrigerate, stirring often, until the mixture reaches the consistency of unbeaten egg white.
  5. Fold in orange sections and chopped nuts.
  6. Pour into a 1 1/4-quart ring mold or glass bowl.
  7. Refrigerate until firm.
