Oriental Celery

Ingredients

  • 4 c. celery
  • 1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 c. diced pimento
  • 2 Tbsp. melted oleo
  • 1/4 c. toasted almonds
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Cook in small amount of salted boiling water the celery, cut into 1-inch slices.
  2. Cook until crisp done (about 8 minutes). Drain.
  3. Add water chestnuts, drained cream of chicken soup and pimento.
  4. Pour into buttered casserole.
  5. Combine melted butter, almonds and bread crumbs.
  6. Sprinkle casserole.
  7. Bake for 35 minutes in a 350° oven.
