Oriental Stuffed Steaks

Ingredients

  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. long grain rice
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 c. sliced green onion with tops
  • 6 beef strip steaks
  • 1/2 to 1/4 bottled teriyaki sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook
  2. rice
  3. according to package directions until done, about 25 minutes;
  4. cool slightly.
  5. Stir
  6. in
  7. egg and onion. Preheat broiler.
  8. Using
  9. a sharp knife, cut a pocket in each steak. Stuff
  10. with
  11. rice mixture. Broil steaks 4-inches form the heat until
  12. desired
  13. doneness.
  14. (Allow 4 to 6 minutes on each
  15. side for medium-rare.) Brush often with teriyaki sauce. Garnish with mushrooms and watercress, if desired.
  16. Serves 6.
