Ingredients

  • 5 to 10 lb. brisket
  • seasoned salt
  • garlic salt
  • red pepper
  • black pepper
  • apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle both sides of the brisket with seasoned salt, garlic salt, red pepper, and black pepper to taste.
  2. Place the brisket in a shallow pan, fat side up.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
  4. Pour apple cider vinegar over the meat.
  5. Bake for an additional 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours, adding water to the bottom of the pan as juices bake away.
  6. As needed, add more vinegar over the meat during cooking.
  7. When finished, add water to the drippings to make gravy.
  8. Slice the brisket across the grain and reheat in the drippings later for better flavor.
  9. Best cooked ahead and reheated, getting better each time.
