- Sprinkle both sides of the brisket with seasoned salt, garlic salt, red pepper, and black pepper to taste.
- Place the brisket in a shallow pan, fat side up.
- Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
- Pour apple cider vinegar over the meat.
- Bake for an additional 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours, adding water to the bottom of the pan as juices bake away.
- As needed, add more vinegar over the meat during cooking.
- When finished, add water to the drippings to make gravy.
- Slice the brisket across the grain and reheat in the drippings later for better flavor.
- Best cooked ahead and reheated, getting better each time.
