Ingredients

  • 1 or 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup oysters, washed thoroughly
  • 2 slices light bread, in small pieces
  • 1 package Ballet corn bread mix
  • 1 small onion, chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix the corn bread according to the package instructions.
  2. If desired, cut small pieces of onion and place them in the corn bread mixture, then bake.
  3. Tear the baked corn bread into pieces.
  4. Mix the torn corn bread with chicken broth, washed oysters, and bread pieces.
  5. Gently fold in the oysters to avoid breaking them.
  6. Bake at about 400°F for approximately 30 minutes or until done.
