Ingredients

  • 8 oz. lasagna noodles
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon minced dried onion
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped mushrooms, drained
  • 1 (10 oz.) package frozen asparagus, thawed and drained
  • 2 cups cooked chicken or turkey, cubed
  • 8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 6 oz. thinly sliced cooked ham
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan or Romano cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions and drain.
  2. In a saucepan, melt margarine over medium heat; blend in flour, minced dried onion, garlic powder, and pepper.
  3. Add chicken broth and milk; cook and stir until bubbly.
  4. Stir in 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and drained chopped mushrooms.
  5. In a 9 x 13-inch baking dish, layer half of the cooked noodles, all of the thawed and drained asparagus, cubed cooked chicken, and shredded mozzarella cheese, then pour in one-third of the milk mixture.
  6. Top with sliced cooked ham, remaining noodles, and the remaining cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered in a 350°F oven for 35 minutes.
  8. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
