Rich and crunchy peanut candy bars combine sweet caramelized sugar with creamy peanut butter and crunchy salted peanuts, making a satisfying treat perfect for peanut lovers and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup light or dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped salted peanuts

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring sugar and corn syrup to boiling. Boil, stirring frequently, for exactly 1 minute.
  2. Remove from heat. Blend in peanut butter and vanilla.
  3. Stir in salted peanuts.
  4. Spread the mixture in a greased 15 x 10-inch sheet pan.
  5. Let stand until cool enough to handle.
  6. Mark off in 24 bars, about 3 inches in length, then with hands, shape into candy bars.
  7. Set on waxed paper.
  8. When all bars are shaped, wrap individually in waxed paper.
  9. Store in a cool place.
