Peanut Sauce With Mutton

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. mutton
  • 1 large onion
  • 8 oz. fresh tomatoes
  • 1 to 2 large peppers
  • 2 c. hot water
  • 3 okra, sliced
  • 3 to 4 small eggplants, cut up
  • 8 oz. peanuts

Instructions

  1. Cut mutton into small pieces.
  2. Wash in salted water.
  3. Add salt and a little white pepper.
  4. Steam for 15 minutes.
  5. Grind together onion, tomatoes and peppers.
  6. Add to mixture the water, okra and eggplant.
  7. Boil 7 minutes.
  8. Grind peanuts to a paste.
  9. Add 2 tablespoons cold water; stir into soup.
  10. Add salt and allow to simmer 10 minutes.
  11. Serve with rice.
